Muslim Leaders With African Ancestrial Landscape

A compelling new series “Muslim Leaders With African Ancestral Landscape,” is a literary tribute to twelve Muslims personalities of African descent. The series by Sheikh Risimati Ali Mathonsi, includes the biographies of these early leaders in Islam, and fills a much needed gap in bringing these ‘forgotten’ Muslim personalities to Muslim youth and the greater public. Some leaders who are profiled in the book include Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Masood (RA), Hadhrat Abu Abdallah Mohammed ibn Bathuta (RA), and Hadhrat Abul Hasan Al Masudi (RA). One of the Aims of iiFRi is to publish da’wah and Islamic material that is relevant to the Southern African region and African continent as a whole, and this publication contributes greatly to that goal. Sheikh Risimati Ali Mathonsi is a retired teacher and journalist with a passion for history, languages and research.
